Yippy for IPPY! "Under Her Thumb" takes the Silver in Erotica

The results of the 18th Annual Independent Publisher Book Awards ("Recognizing Excellence in Independent Publishing") have been announced and it turns out the silver medalist in Erotica is a Cleis anthology called "Under Her Thumb." If you've read it, you might recall my story, Suffer.

To say I'm humble about this sort of thing is a drastic understatement. My self-esteem is so low that I always think, "Oh, they must have overlooked my terrible terrible story and awarded this honour on the strength of everybody else's work."  I had the same reaction when "Take Me There" won a Lambda Literary Award. Actually, I've had stories in a lot of award-winning anthologies and I always dismiss my contribution.

It's so much fun living in my brain, guys. It's just a blast.

At least I can laugh at myself. Kind of.

Anyway, here's a bookish selfie of "Under Her Thumb" and me in the "spank me hard" outfit I happen to be wearing for my girlfriend. (Mission accomplished, by the way.  She's realized that its hurt the most when she spanks my outer thighs, so now she zeroes in on them until I'm screaming, "No! No! Nooo!"  And she also somehow got me upside-down enough to slap my asshole, which I think was an accident, but holy guacamole--that smarts!)

Huge congrats to my pal Alison who took the gold in Erotica, and to my pal Jeremy who took the Bronze. Gee, I've got a lot of pals in this industry!

Here are the results:

Gold: Dark Secret Love: A Story of Submission, by Alison Tyler (Cleis Press)
Silver: Under Her Thumb: Erotic Stories of Female Domination, Edited by D.L. King (Cleis Press)
Bronze: The Pleasure Dial, by Jeremy Edwards (1001 Nights Press)

And, just so's ya know, you can now purchase my story "Suffer" (the one that was featured in Under Her Thumb) as a cute little ebook. Ain't she tweet?

You can SUFFER at Amazon:

Look Ma, there's award-winning fiction in here!

Big News: Friday Night Lipstick Large Print Edition is now available!

Who the hell is gonna buy a love story about elderly transsexuals?

A lot of people, as it turns out.  My erotic romance Friday Night Lipstick is quite a short book, clocking in at only 13,000 words or so, but it's one of the most heartfelt, sweet and satisfying love stories I've ever written. The characters are drawn from my life. They're older women, they're transgender, and they're very real to me.

I never expected this novella to take off, but in March it was my top-selling print book. Say what?  And in April? Same thing! Say whaaat?

For months, I've been wanting to make some of my books available in Large Print. My grandmother's been reading Large Print for years as her vision declined, and even now that she's legally blind she still reads them by holding the books very close to her face.  She has assistive devices and she could start up with ebooks or audiobooks, but she doesn't want to.She likes to hold a book in her hands, even if she has to get right in close to see the words.

I've come up against a lot of barriers in trying to get audiobooks produced (it's weirdly difficult for Canadians, sadly) but I can get Large Print books to market.

Friday Night Lipstick: Large Print Edition is now available.  If there's a book of mine that you'd particularly like to see in Large Print, please do let me know!

Friday Night Lipstick
by Giselle Renarde

When Layla and Bernice first met, they'd never heard the word "transgender." Back then, they thought of themselves as cross-dressers and frequented gay clubs together.

Twenty years later, Layla is a glamorous and successful real estate agent living as a woman full-time. Repressed Bernice is still married to a woman who won't let go of the husband Bernice used to be. She spends her lonely nights dreaming of a life with lovely Layla.

While Bernice is trapped in a hopeless relationship, Layla seems perfectly content hopping from bed to bed. On Friday night, when their facades break down, will these long-time friends finally admit their love for one another?

And even if they do, how will married Bernice and swinging single Layla build a future together?

This transgender love story contains explicit erotic language. Large Print Edition.

Spend the Weekend With Family: Adam and Sheree's #Taboo Family Box Set!

If you haven't delved into Adam and Sheree--my extremely taboo brother/sister incest erotica series--then I'm about to give you the perfect excuse to try it.  Until now, if you wanted to read the entire series, you had to buy all three novellas separately.  They're $4.99 each.

Now you can buy the whole 100,000-word collection as Adam and Sheree's Family Box Set and it's only $9.99. That's a steal!

This is it! Everybody’s favourite brother/sister incest erotica trilogy is finally available in one convenient collection. That’s three taboo tales to tease your mind and tantalize your senses. We’re talking forbidden sex, seductive secrets, and illicit family drama. Adam and Sheree are ready for you—are you ready for them?

Adam and Sheree’s Family Vacation

Adam and Sheree are stuck at Gramma’s remote cottage all summer. No internet access, no cell reception. It’s just the two of them, brother and sister, taking care of good ol’ gran.

When Sheree takes off her bikini top in the lake, what’s Adam supposed to do? By the time she strips off her bottoms, all traces of self-control are lost.

Once brother and sister start scratching their taboo itch, there’s no hope of stopping. Just when Adam is convinced remorse will eat him alive, Sheree’s boyfriend and Adam’s girlfriend arrive for a surprise visit. Life is about to get really good, or very, very bad. Either way, Adam and Sheree will never be just brother and sister again.

Adam and Sheree’s Family Business

After a summer of forbidden love, Sheree crashes at the townhouse Adam shares with a motley crew of college students. He tries his damnedest to keep his hands off his sister, but he just can’t help himself.

When Sheree starts a sordid family porn business behind his back, Adam can’t believe how she’s taken advantage of him. Will he kick his sister to the curb or choose to be used in every way possible?

Adam and Sheree’s Family Christmas

When Adam and Sheree head home for the holidays, it goes without saying they won’t tell their parents they’ve been at it like bunnies.

As if it wasn’t hard enough to keep his hands off Sheree for an entire week, Adam stumbles upon his sister’s old diary. Its contents shock him right to the core. Did Sheree really seduce their uncle while he and their aunt were on the outs?

Adam can’t help feeling betrayed. He thought he was his sister’s first incestuous lover. And Uncle Brian’s not the only family member who’s been in his sister’s bed…

WARNING: This trilogy is packed with forbidden sex, unthinkable threesomes, and all types of taboo encounters between consenting legal adults.

Where Are My Lesbian Cousins? They're Hiding...

Hiding in plain sight, actually.

Last year, Amazon banned Wedding Heat: Pretty Cousin, the fourth story from my Wedding Heat series. Amazon's not so hot on erotic fiction with family-related words in the titles or blurbs.  In fact, Amazon's not so hot on a lot of things, these days.

Anyway, if you're looking for my sexy lesbian cousins at Amazon, you'll find them in the guise of Wedding Heat: Pretty Bride. Got that?  Pretty BRIDE. Nothing has changed, content-wise.  It's still the same book you can buy at eXcessica or Barnes and Noble.  Only the title and blurb are different on Amazon:

Wedding Heat: Pretty Bride
by Giselle Renarde

Vanessa’s had a crush on Maggie since before she knew what love was. They were inseparable growing up—that is, until Vanessa came out as lesbian. That confession sparked a rift between the girls that stretched out more than ten years.

Two days before her wedding, Maggie meets up with Vanessa for the first time since they were teenagers. The attraction hasn't died down. If anything, it's burning brighter than before. Will Vanessa give in to her lust and seduce Maggie so close to the wedding? Or will Maggie reveal a secret surprise of her own?

Need a sunny beach vacation? Grab Bali Nights. Now!

I've been holding off announcing the existence of my new novel until it's available in print at Amazon, but I can't keep quiet anymore.  The ebook is up, and it's available for a great price, so I'm going to tell you about it. Right now!

Bali Nights is a novel published by Xcite Books.  It's the longest book I've ever written. It's not just BBW travel erotica. It's not just a multicultural erotic romance. It is true LGBT fiction--with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (or, at least, genderqueer/non-normative) content.  If you're looking for a sunny beach read after this long winter we've had, Bali Nights is it!

I wrote Bali Nights for two main reasons:

  1. A few years ago, I saw a really interesting documentary about Bali's "Beach Boys."  Beach Boys are male prostitutes who cater to... women!  Yes, women.  I found that endlessly fascinating, because you don't hear much about women paying for sex.  Seems like the stuff of fiction, right?
  2. The first ebook I ever wrote was an MMFF menage novelette called The Birthday Gift. It's a queer multicultural sunny summer travel erotic romance. Right off the bat, it was a fan favourite. Eight or so years later it's still a strong seller!  In the back of my mind, I always kind of thought I should write another MMFF type book.
Well, Bali Nights is that book: LGBT fiction, erotic romance, BBW multicultural travel erotica... the list goes on!

Erotic romance by Giselle Renarde explores lust and sexual fantasies on the sandy shores of Bali...

Do Beach Boys really exist? They’re said to be hot young surfers who sell their bodies on the sandy shores of Bali—and not to other men, oh no. Beach Boys specialize in seducing women.

According to Kimmy, Beach Boys are not only real, but they’re Bali’s top tourist attraction. And she should know, considering she hired one last time she vacationed there. How she convinced co-worker Shandra to fly halfway around the world just to pay a guy for sex, Shandra will never know… until their first day in Bali, when she falls for Man: tall, dark, handsome, and on the make.

There’s something different about Man—he’s nothing like the guys back home. Shandra can tell him things she’s never shared with anyone, shed her inhibitions, and abandon herself to the best sex of her life. Now she understands why Kimmy was so anxious to return to her Beach Boy, Budi.

With Man’s encouragement, Shandra surrenders to a lust for men (and women) she’s long denied. But there’s more to a Beach Boy than meets the eye. Are Budi and Man really as trustworthy as Shandra and Kimmy think, or will their secrets shatter the girls forever?

I invite you to pick up a copy of Bali Nights right now, because I'm not sure how long the ebook's going to stay at $2.99.  That's an incredible price for a full-length novel!

An Appreciation for Beautiful Things

Bondage erotica from award-winning author Giselle Renarde.

Dell's mother-in-law is convinced he's gay. That doesn't bother him. So what if he has an appreciation for beautiful things? Why should beauty be a gay guy's exclusive domain? What does irk Dell is that every time his wife Genevieve gets off the phone with her mother, she seems a little swayed by family opinion. Dell's got nothing to prove. Tying her up, spanking her, making her scream for mercy--he doesn't do these things to prove that he's straight. Available for the first time as an #ebook: The Therapist and the Whore

A short story from the Lambda Literary Award-winning anthology Take Me There: trans and genderqueer erotica.

Manny never tells anyone the full truth.  Her therapist Liesl doesn't know she started binding her breasts and stopped correcting people when they call her "Sir."  Her girlfriend Danica doesn't know she's been sleeping with a transsexual prostitute named Star.  Manny identifies as a butch dyke, so why isn’t she acting like one?

With intense emotional attachments to a girlfriend, a therapist, and a whore, Manny's situation is complex.  She can't juggle these three women anymore… but how can she choose between them?

It felt nice to be soaped up by Star, naked, skin to skin.  As Star ran suds down her ass crack, Manny mulled over her compounded lies.  “I told Liesl Danica won’t look at me naked.  I don’t know why.”  She stared at the faint reflection of her dark skin in the white tile.

With a lilting giggle, Star rubbed the soap from Manny’s cheeks.  “Classic case of shifting the blame.  You feel guilty for hiding your body from your girlfriend.  You feel guilty for being here with me.  If you pretend it’s Danica who won’t look at you, you have your perfect excuse.”

“But I know it’s not true.”

“It becomes true the second you tell Dr. Liesl. You believe everything you say to her. When you lie to her, you’re lying to yourself.”

As warm water coursed across her flesh, the sudden insight brought Manny to a new level of nudity.  Star washed and dried her, bound her tits and helped her on with her clothes.
