Glitter in the Gutter and Rachel's BOGO deal

Coming soon to a bookstore near you: Twice the Pleasure: Bisexual Women's Erotica, edited by everybody's favourite cupcake, Rachel Kramer Bussel.

But coming RIGHT NOW is Rachel Kramer Bussel's super-special "buy one get one free" deal.  If you pre-order Twice the Pleasure this February, you'll get your pick of FREE erotic anthologies.  All the details are on her blog, where you can also read the introduction to the book: http://lustylady.blogspot.ca/2013/02/bisexual-erotica-bogo-in-february-2013.html

My story in Twice the Pleasure is called "Glitter in the Gutter."  The title is actually a lyric from this Metric song, Twilight Galaxy (from their album Fantasies):

"Glitter in the Gutter" features Dotschy and Connor, two characters with whom you might be familiar if you've ever read my short story "Spring Fever."

In "Glitter in the Gutter," love is messy.  Everything's messy--especially Connor's house, when Dotschy tracks him down to find out why he's been avoiding her at work.

See, Connor has opened himself to Dotschy more than he ever has with anyone.  He's let her see the "her" in him, introducing open-minded Dotschy to his cross-dressing self.  Now Connor is having a crisis of conscience and getting rid of everything--as many adults who identify along the trans, CD, or genderqueer spectrum have done at some point in their lives.  When Dotschy arrives, his front hall is cluttered with clothes destined for Goodwill.

Connor loves women's clothing, but he doesn't want to love them.  He's lost a lot in life, more than Dotschy knows, and all because of what others see as a perversion.  Nobody understands him except Dotschy, who loves how he looks dressed.  It's about more than just looks, actually.  When Connor is dressed, he's more himself... or... herself...?

Everything's messy right now, for Connor.  Gender is messy.  Is dressing enough, or does he want more?  Should he throw it all away and be a REAL man, or would he rather jump off a bridge than live without beautiful things?

There's only one thing Connor can be sure of: Dotschy cares deeply for him, and she's not going anywhere.
