Quick Six TNG with Annette Gisby

1. What does "vanilla" mean to you?

Ice-cream and a visit to New Zealand where were at a Maori Hangi and an American couple sitting next to us wanted to know what custard was and what flavour it was.

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?

The day John proposed to me.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?

The Ring. It was a great film but I have never been able to watch it again, I had nightmares for weeks afterwards.

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?

I'm terrified of needles so I wouldn't be getting any tattoo but if I did it would probably be something like a butterfly or a flower.

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?

Monkeys aren't allowed on the bed ;)

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favourite?

Oh, that is a tough one! If pushed, I'd probaly have to say my m/m romance The Chosen, I fell in love with Severin and Havyn, but they're in love with each other ;)

Blurb:

Love or duty -which would you choose?

Prince Severin has been brought up to put duty before all else. Now, his duty is to marry and produce an heir. He has his choice of princesses. Unfortunately, his passion is for princes.
Havyn has been a slave all his life. When his powers are discovered, he finds himself purchased and freed by Prince Severin and apprenticed to the royal wizard, Ildar. His duty is to stay chaste to keep his powers strong. Unfortunately, his passion is for Severin.

With kingdoms at war, the throne hanging in the balance, and magic in the air, can the two men find happiness together, or is duty more important than love?

Ohhh...I love the cover for The Chosen. Lyrical Press--is that a Renee Rocco cover? She did The Birthday Gift for me back in the Dark Eden days. It's still one of my favourites.

Quick Six TNG with D.B. Story

1. What does "vanilla" mean to you?

It used to mean a lack of chocolate in ice cream. Now it's a rich flavor of its own.

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?

Driving south on I-805 in San Diego on a rainy night in 1977 when I shouldn't have been driving at all. Heading up the south side of Mission Valley in an Oldsmobile the front end of the car suddenly started to float. It quested back and forth a couple of times before I lost it completely. In a very long moment I did a full 360 in medium light traffic, to end up in the next lane to the right, engine stalled, facing up the hill still, untouched by any other car. Definitely the hand of God there that night.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?

No question about it: Alien.

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?

A jumping dolphin.

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?

Too many to count. Now will you please take them back.

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favorite?

No question about it: Far Future Fembot.

http://excessica.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=277

Here you'll find a romantic Valentine's story for the ages, and a timeless spiritual journey. Bill, a down-on-his-luck human, discovers Anna, an even more down-on-her-luck fembot, propped up in the corner of a secondhand store. Striking a deal with the shop owner to rescue her before she is sold and broken up for the value of her parts is the beginning of a relationship that will bridge centuries, lifetimes, political upheavals, and future forms of interpersonal relationships.

Warnings: This title contains humans and robots in a wide variety of sexual situations, including bi-gendered bot, oral situations and same-sex relations.

Ooh...a bi-gendered bot? Sounds neat! That reminds me of my story "The Travesties" which appears in Circlet Press' Like Twin Stars anthology. The Travesties, as sensationalist media and medical professionals dub them, experience gender as fluid, not only mentally and emotionally but also physically. Their bodies are capable of changing form at will, from masculine to feminine and back again. In a world that accepts only the black and white states of male and female, the Travesties are feared as a dangerous new race.
Thanks for the interview!

LGBT YOUTHLINE and YOU

'Cause sometimes you just need someone to talk to.

Those who've been following me for a while may recall that for the past couple years I've donated all my fourth quarter income from e-book sales to a great organization called LGBT YOUTHLINE.

LGBT YOUTHLINE provides queer-positive, non-judgmental peer support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirit, queer and questioning youth. LGBT YOUTHLINE offers free services through its toll-free phone number, by email and instant messenger. For more information on this worthy cause, visit their website.

There are so many reasons I believe in what LGBT YOUTHLINE's doing--not the least of which is the range of media by which they offer services. Being available to LGBT youth via instant messenger and email is less restrictive and more anonymous, which is something today's youth seem to value. (hahaha...like I don't choose e-mail over telephone myself!)

This year, I want to launch a similar campaign in the fourth quarter. Just a few tweaks. In years past, I haven't had all that much work on the market. When I started my campaign last September, I think I had four e-books available. Now I have well over fifteen. The bigger change is that in years past I've had personal income from day jobs. Now it's all writing, baby. This sounds like "excuses, excuses," even to me, but realistically this year we're going to have to pick and choose which books we should donate royalties from.

Yes, I said WE.

And WE includes YOU.

It's pride month--perfect time to make a democratic decision about which of my books will help support LGBT youth.

For those who aren't clear on how my LGBT YOUTHLINE campaigns work, it's super simple: You guys buy my books during a given time period (this year it'll most likely be October 1-December 31 2010, but details to be confirmed), and then I donate the royalties I earn on those purchases to LGBT YOUTHLINE. See? Super, super easy!

So, which books will it be this year? There are so many to choose from! I'm including a list of my works currently on the market in this post (below) and all these titles are linked so you can click and find out more about them. I've also classified them as les (lesbian), bi (bisexual), TG (transgender), het (heterosexual) for quick reference. When you decide which title(s) you'd like to see me donate royalties from, go over to the poll at the sidebar of my blog (over to your right. See it?) and vote!

Okay, ready for my books? Here are the titles you can choose from:

All in a Valentine Day's Work (bi)
A Mistress' Christmas (het)
Audrey & Lawrence (het)
Beneath the Ice (bi)
Cocktales (multiple anthologies)
Cunning Little Vixens (bi)
Faithful John and the Dungeon Ravens (het)
Kandinsky's Shirt Button (TG/het)
Leslie Goosemoon Rides Again (TG/les)
Ondine (bi)
Red Satin (TG/les)
Spring Fever (TG/les)
Sweetheart Rolando (het)
Tangled Roots (het)
The Birthday Gift (bi)
The Little Burlesque House by the Sea (bi/les)
Third Rail (TG/bi)
Waxing is for Pussies (les)

Whew! What a list. Please, take an opportunity to peruse the links above or check out all my titles at my website, www.gisellerenarde.webs.com, and vote in the sidebar. I'm not just yanking you when I say I'm relying on your input. And, to that end, if you've got any broad sweeping ideas, feel free to leave a comment.

Okay. Get voting!

Thank you all!
Hugs,

Quick Six TNG with Dakota Trace

It's quick six time, everybody! This week Dakota Trace is joining us for the next generation of quirky questions!

1. What does "vanilla" mean to you?
Missionary sex done while the lights are out and you lay back and think of God? Just kidding. While you can beat the intimacy of face to face lovemaking, I like mine a little spicier but even I like vanilla once in a while.

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?
Probably have to be the morning my father had his heart attack. I remember getting the call and making it down to the hospital and finding out he was in surgery. The moment the doctor came out to talk to me was in slow motion. Thank god he's a tough old bird and came through with flying colors.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?
I'd have to say the original "Hellraiser". The hubby is a horror flick nut and we when we first started dating, he rented it and we watched it on a dark stormy night. That probably had something to do with it.

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?
Considering I've got several tattoos that would be a hard one. I'd have to say perhaps a small vine with roses on my edge of face? (In all seriousness I would never actually tattoo my face.)

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?
Umm...three...oh wait you said monkeys not kids. But three monkeys is still three too many.

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favourite?
I'd have to say that Nisey's Awakening is my favorite story to date. It was the first of BDSM book I wrote and after doing all of the research and everything, I couldn't help but fall in love with the genre and the characters I created. In fact I've started a sequel to the book, giving two of the secondary characters their own story.

Blurb:

When a would be Dom takes advantage of Nisey's inexperience she is left bewildered and at odds with her own sexuality. Now scared of what she longs for she tries to hide from it until her best friend, Kalinda has had enough of waking to Nisey's screams and takes matters into her own hands and contacts her older brother, Caelan. She's had enough and wants her best friend back and thinks Caelan is the perfect man to guide Nisey back to what she longs for without traumatizing her friend any further.

Caelan is an experienced Dom, who has trained many first time subs in during his time in the lifestyle, but his last experience with a newbie changed everything. When it blew up in his face, he decided to keep to the more experienced subs, so when his sister calls out of the blue with a request that he help her friend, he is intrigued but very leery. After all what could happen from answering a few questions?

NEW RELEASE! Spring Fever by Giselle Renarde

SPRING FEVER is special.

SPRING FEVER is a love story. I wrote it a few years ago, before my girlfriend Sweet and I started dating. I knew her as a "him" back then--an effeminate, quirky guy who attracted my attention, though I couldn't quite figure out why. It was a long while before Sweet came out to me as a MTF transsexual. In the meantime, I wrote SPRING FEVER.

~Blurb~

Dotschy's in love with a cross dresser. No, not in love. It's just spring fever. Really it is...

After a rough break up, Dotschy doesn't want to think about love everlasting. When spring comes around and she can't stop smiling at Connor the sweet and sensitive semi-closet trans-curious sometimes-cross-dresser, she convinces herself it's just infatuation. That doesn't stop her from wanting him though. It doesn't stop her from getting him either.

~Excerpt~

Connor, dressed as a woman, stood before me in a light pink sweater with pearly plastic buttons down the front. It was the type of sweater a mommy picks out for her little girl. That’s the spirit in which Connor dressed himself. Sure, he had plenty of life experience as a man, but he was a novice female. His skirt was a more mature tweedy grey shot with pink, slit in the back and just covering his knees. Did he shave his legs? I couldn’t tell, what with the pantyhose. His shoes matched his sweater. His nails matched his sweater. Connor pulled off the look beautifully. He looked almost elegant in his black Kiss of the Spider Woman wig. His boobs were generous, but he had a natural paunch to match. Despite his height, he didn’t look curiously tall. He looked perfect, actually. His glasses were the same pair he wore as a man. They suited him both ways.

Soft. That was Connor dressed as a woman. He was soft. Soft pinks, soft body, soft curves. I ran my hand across his cheek. That was soft too. No trace of stubble. Before I arrived at his house, I’d wondered if I would be as attracted to Connor dressed as a woman as I was to Connor dressed as a man. “You look beautiful.” I kissed his smooth cheek, lingering close. Those sparkling blue eyes were Connor. The clothes were different, but the person was the same. I would easily have made out with him, and not just to see if passers-by would throw stuff at us.

“You look fabulous, dear,” he said. His voice lilted, neither high nor low.

“Fabulous?” I chuckled. “Honey, you’re a woman, you’re not gay! Try ‘lovely’ or ‘gorgeous.’”

He leaned in close. Into my ear, he whispered, “Dotschy, you’re gorgeous.”

What Were You Like In High School?

I think High School, more than any other phase of life, is the one we most want to put behind us.

Am I right?

I won't say I was a flake in High School, because I was a straight-A student, but I was into a lot of hippy-dippy stuff back then. I was all about my horoscope, and healing my soul, and "God is Love," and all that. Not that I think of any of that stuff as total BS now, but I think my approach when I was younger was a little grasping.

Or maybe I was wise back then and now I'm just plain jaded.

What about you? Are you embarrassed by the person you used to be, or do you admire her? Do you wish you'd done things differently?

Who were you in High School?

Quick Six with Selena Kitt

Happy Monday, everybody!

Today I'm beyond delighted to have Selena Kitt of eXcessica Publishing joining us for Quick Six: The Next Generation!

1. What does "vanilla" mean to you?

You know, vanilla gets a bad rap. Real vanilla is fantastic stuff. It's rich and
pungent and not really boring at all! So all of you out there having vanilla
sex--er, ice cream--take heart. It's still VERY good! ;D

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?

The moment my midwife couldn't find my son's heartbeat at a routine prenatal
when I was 39 weeks pregnant. He was stillborn on April 1, 2009.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?

The Exorcist - the uncut version, where she walks down the stairs backwards.
Creeeeee-py!

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?

No way - I won't ever get another tattoo. I have a memorial tattoo (my son's
hand) on my chest, and that hurt like hell! Never again!

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?

One too few.

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favourite? (Please include buy link and blurb in your response)

My recent favorite is Baumgartner
Generations: Janie
.

The Baumgartner series continues, this time
exploring Janie’s world as she moves to New York to try to make it as a writer,
all the while serving as part-time lover in a polyamorous relationship with
Veronica and TJ and full-time nanny to their daughter, Beth. Janie’s life is
already incredibly full when she—literally—runs into an agent one morning who
sees great potential in her—and not just as a writer. As Janie’s relationship
with Josh blooms and her career takes off, Ronnie’s happy surprise turns into a
problem that even a vacation in a mountain cabin with the Baumgartners can’t
fix, throwing everyone’s life off-kilter. Janie, especially, is spread thin,
trying to please everyone while keeping Josh from finding out the true nature of
her relationship with her benefactors. She knows she has to tell him eventually,
but fear holds her back. Will she lose him? Will she be forced to make an
impossible choice? Or will she, perhaps, find that the capacity for the human
heart to love is, indeed, endless?

Selena, thanks so much for a poignant interview. My girlfriend's mother also has a tattoo for the son she lost, but hers is, for some strange reason, on her ass. And, what's more this woman will show it to anyone--ANYONE--who asks to see it! I've seen her pull down her panties for complete strangers. LOL
Hugs,
Giselle

Speak My Language

I'm glowing.

Okay, so, one thing led to another, and I spent the last hour in front of YouPorn with a vibe in one hand and a mouse in the other. (Computer mouse, people! I'm not doing anything that kinky. No hamster-dance in my bedroom.)

I'm really into solo girls these days (love the female bodies of all shapes and sizes and the 100% Grade-A orgasms) but it was only this evening that I stumbled upon a "dirty talk" video. Oh. My. God. Yes! It was like a solo girl video in that it was just one lovely young woman going at her own body, except that she was talking dirty the whole time....to me...

...except...not to me. Because, wish as I may wish as I might, I just don't have a penis. (btw, I'm a little genderqueer over here) And this gorgeous girl kept telling me to stoke my dick harder and put it on her tits and GOD I wish I could have, but, like I said...I don't have a penis.

Here's my question/request: Does anybody make these "dirty talk" videos for lesbians? If not, could somebody start?

I want to watch a gorgeous girl playing with her tits without having to hear any penis talk. I don't need to be reminded of what I don't have. I want her to look me in the eye (well, yeah, through the computer screen) and hear her say, "Stoke your pussy, baby. Put it on my face. Let me eat you. I want to suck your clit. I want to play with your tits. God, yeah, your skin is so soft! Are you going to come? Again?"

*sigh*

I'm half tempted to do it myself, but...you know...bashful...

And I know how shameful this sounds, coming from an author, but the printed word isn't enough for me. I have a stereotypical "guy" mind in many respect. I need the visuals. Hell, I watched a "dirty talking" German girl today because she had nice breasts and she could do marvelous things with anal beads. I don't speak a word of German! The physical trumps the aural, I suppose, but god I wish I had a dirty-talking lesbian to get me off!

Oh...wait...I just remembered I have a girlfriend at my disposal. Sweet's pretty damn good with words. Maybe she can be my dirty talking woman.

Duh.

;-)

Quick Six TNG with Jasmine Black

As you lovely readers may have noticed, I haven't posted a Quick Six interview in a while. I blame personal laziness in combination with my boredom with the old questions. Well, guess what? Author interviews are back with QUICK SIX: THE NEXT GENERATION (a little Star Trek joke, there) and the first willing victim of my quirky questions is Jasmine Black. Thanks for participating, Jasmine!

1. For starters, what does "vanilla" mean to you?

The syrup you put in your coke or coffee? Okay, really it means the sexual encounters in a book are between man and a woman, usually in the bedroom but could be in another private area of the house, and nothing kinky.

2. Is there any moment from your life that you remember in slow motion?

Yep, all those days I take muscle relaxers for my fibromyalgia. It's a legal high, but I try not to indulge too much.

3. What's the most unsettling movie you've ever seen?

This is tough. I don't watch a lot of movies and I hardly ever go to the theater. So if I don't like a movie, I just turn it off.

4. If you had to get a tattoo on your face, what would you want it to look like?

Something natural, so maybe freckles. I know, not very exciting.

5. How many monkeys jumping on the bed?

Too many. I got a hoard of cats and a little dog jumping on the bed, too.

6. Which of the books or stories you've written is your favourite?

Wow, my favorite hasn't been picked up yet. So I will go with another one, All For An Angel.

Gabe Hawkins has dreamed of Amy Bradshaw since junior high, but a sick game of revenge from his identical twin Lou smashed those dreams when Lou seduced Amy and impregnated her. Amy is a woman who knows what she wants, Gabe. But having Gabe in her bed would cost a price she can't afford to pay, custody of her daughter Angel. Threats from Lou force Amy to resist Gabe. For five years the threats have worked, but Gabe's persistence is wearing Amy's resolve thin. Finally, she agrees to one night with Gabe to live out her fantasies. But will her fantasies force her into an unbearable reality?
